The Tangerine Peel Pu'erh is made by packing Pu'erh tea leaves into the rind of a whole tangerine. Then left to dry and age, this allows the tangerine's fragrance and flavours to infuse the tea leaves, producing an earthy tea with a refreshing citrusy accent. Steep the whole tangerine for a strong brew, or break it into a few portions for a lighter cup. In addition to the health benefits of Pu-erh, dried tangerine peel (陈皮) is also commonly used in Chinese medicine to regulate the 'Qi'.
As compared to the Small Tangerine Peel Pu'erh (13 years), the Medium Tangerine Peel Pu'erh (6 years) is recommended for tea beginners or those who prefer a lighter tea. In general, Pu'erh is also more valued with age as the tea becomes smoother and more full-bodied. Our current collection of Medium Tangerine Peel Pu'erh has been aged for more than 10 years.
