Small Tangerine Peel Pu'erh (2013)

The Tangerine Peel Pu'erh is made by packing Pu'erh tea leaves into the rind of a whole tangerine. Then left to dry and age, this allows the tangerine's fragrance and flavours to infuse the tea leaves, producing an earthy tea with a refreshing citrusy accent. Steep the whole tangerine for a strong brew, or break it into a few portions for a lighter cup. In addition to the health benefits of Pu-erh, dried tangerine peel (陈皮) is also commonly used in Chinese medicine to regulate the 'Qi'.

As compared to the Medium Tangerine Peel, the Small Tangerine Peel imparts a more pronounced citrusy note. In general, Pu'er is also more valued with age as the tea becomes smoother and more full-bodied. Our current collection of Small Tangerine Peel Pu'erh has been aged for more than 10 years.
